Westerly Barbell is a 7,500 square foot strength and conditioning facility that trains athletes of every level. We believe in developing sound mechanics and movement patterns. With small group training our coaches give each athlete the attention they need to perform functional movements safely.

Jared Coon: Founder & Head Coach

Jared has spent most of his life dedicated to fitness, with several certifications in a variety of fitness-related interests. His passion for fitness started as a 95-pound high schooler who needed to bulk up for the wrestling team. After a fruitful time as part of the team, he ended up as head Wrestling coach for the Westerly High School.

After a shoulder injury ended his wrestling career, he switched his focus to CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting. The latter bringing him the most fulfillment of his life. The transition from coach to personal trainer was an easy one. As a competitive weightlifter, he has gone from a novice at local meets to competing and placing at international masters competitions. He’s spent time at the U.S. Olympic Training Center working with coaches to help better himself as both an athlete and coach. He loves nothing more than to help someone improve their strength and technique as an athlete. He considers training clients a true honor. Reach out today!

Erin Blette: Assistant Coach

Level 1 CrossFit Coach | Licensed Massage Therapist | Olympic Lifting Competitor

With over a decade of experience in fitness, Erin is passionate about helping others reach their full potential. She became a Level 1 CrossFit certified in 2011 and has been dedicated to improving her own performance and inspiring other to do the same ever since. In 2015, she went on to earn her certification as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), further deepening her knowledge of the body and the ability to support athletes in their recovery.

An avid runner, Erin has participated in countless road races, from 5Ks to marathons, but finding her true home in Olympic lifting. Her love for fitness is matched only by her desire to continually learn and share that knowledge about fitness, mindset and overall health with others. Whether she's coaching a class, training for a marathon, or doing another 75 Hard, she is committed to helping you achieve your fitness goals with a friendly, fitness-first and finely tuned approach.
